What does a data scientist do at AppTweak?
As a data scientist, you are at the origin of our next product features. You’ll join a team of experienced data scientists who work hand-in-hand with the Product team, developers, and ASO Experts to build machine learning and statistical algorithms that empower our software. Our projects cover most of the standard spectrum of data science from classifiers and regressors on tabular data, to natural language processing, outliers detection in time series, or even computer vision. Our sector moves fast, and so do we: we remain on the cutting edge. These new features will be used by over 1500 customers worldwide, including mobile leaders like Paypal, Warner Bros, Expedia, Electronic Arts, etc.
Your main duties would include:
Ideate, prototype, fail and refine statistical and machine learning models
Plug & Play with diverse data sources including massive databases fed by >5 years of data from Apple and Google
Leverage the power of cloud services to discover the patterns that we have missed or the new feature for our SaaS
Come up with deployable analytical models, using cutting edge technologies to deliver state-of-the-art results
Combine existing signals to create new indicators and metrics that measure or predict mobile apps success
Become the team's mentor for all tasks related to cloud services platforms
It’s in our DNA to come as we are and trust each other. We are free to take initiatives, choose our tech stack, bring our favorite algorithms, and test new ones every day.
Our team’s tech-guilty pleasures include:
Enjoying Facebook Prophet miracles for time-series analysis
Using deep transfer learning with Fastai library
Getting fancy graphs in just 3 drag-and-drops with Tableau
We are excited to hear yours!
First and foremost you:
Have spent your teenage years building fancy apps with AWS or GCP. You know most of the available ML services, while you could rewrite their whole Python SDK yourself.
Believe that building state-of-the-art machine learning projects is becoming a simple thing. One simply needs to connect its data to all these algorithms already waiting for you in the cloud.
Are always curious to learn more about statistics and machine learning techniques
Speak English fluently. French or any other additional language is a plus
Master Python and its data-oriented libraries: Pandas, NumPy, Sklearn.
Are eager to learn cutting-edge technologies in the field
Are a team player, willing to ship your work to production
Have experience working in a SaaS company, in a similar industry, and/or in a data analytics team
Have experience with some of the following: Docker, Flask, PyTorch, Tableau
Have experience interacting with non-technical profiles (product managers/designers, sales/marketing, clients, etc.)
If you have another unique skill, we’d love to hear more!
So if you are motivated, ready to learn, and have a curious and innovative mindset, let’s meet!
Please note you will need a valid visa/work permit to be eligible for the role in the country you are applying for.
