We are looking for the Head of Japan to board our second-stage rocket ship! 🚀

Since our launch in Japan in Q1 2020, we've witnessed an astronomical 1,000% revenue growth in just four years, achieved with a stellar team of three. Today, we work with over 80 Japanese companies across diverse verticals, including industry leaders such as Rakuten, Liberteenz, and CoinCheck.

We're in search of a dynamic and accomplished professional to assume the pivotal role of Head of Japan. This position calls for a candidate with strong language proficiency, strategic acumen, a proven track record of effective leadership, and experience in the mobile industry.

As the Head of Japan, you'll lead our growth, oversee in-country activities, drive business expansion in the Japanese market and position AppTweak as a key player in the region.

Revenue Growth and Management:

  • Drive significant growth in platform and managed services revenue in Japan.

  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract new business while maintaining and expanding existing client relationships.

  • Identify and cultivate partnerships that contribute to AppTweak's success in the region.

New Business Acquisition:

  • Grow revenue from new business acquisition efforts,

  • Lead sales efforts to secure new contracts and partnerships, enhancing overall market presence.

Existing Business Retention and Growth:

  • Oversee customer solutions strategies to retain and grow revenue from existing business.

  • Foster strong, long-term relationships with current clients and partners, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with departments such as finance and marketing to align strategies and utilize these areas as tools for revenue enhancement.

  • Collaborate with APAC counterparts across to ensure alignment of objectives and sharing of best practices.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor the Japan Revenue team, fostering an environment of growth and development.

  • Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

Job requirements


Language Proficiency:

  • Fluent in Japanese and proficient in business-level English.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

Professional Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development, with a minimum of 3 years in the mobile industry.

  • Proven track record of successfully driving sales and achieving revenue targets.

  • Effective senior leadership experience.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Showcase a deep understanding of Japan's mobile business market and the mobile industry in general.

Entrepreneurial Mindset:

  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on and autonomous approach.

  • Ability to find creative solutions to problems in a fast-moving environment.

Leadership & Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire teams effectively.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for both customer interactions and internal collaboration.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Tech, and Finance).

  • Experience collaborating with cross-country & cross-regional teams.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.

    Public Speaking & Networking:

  • Proficient in public speaking at large-scale events.

  • Enthusiastic participation in diverse in-person events, ranging from large conferences to smaller industry meet-ups.

Results-driven and Organized:

  • Proactive, results-driven, and highly organized with strong attention to detail.
