Location: San Francisco with minimum 3 days at the office
Contract: Part-time, 2,5 days per week (Tuesday/Thursday and the other 0,5 days to be discussed) 
Compensation: 35,000$ - 42,000$ depending on the profile

We’re seeking an experienced People Operations & Office Manager to support our US team! This is a diverse and dynamic role where you’ll be essential to AppTweak’s growth in the US (currently a team of 10). You’ll oversee daily office and people operations, ensuring HR processes run smoothly and effectively. Additionally, you’ll work on creating an exceptional workplace environment by managing projects that enhance our company culture. Lastly, you’ll collaborate with the CRO to hire, onboard, and develop talent on-site.

You will report to Madeleine, Head of People, based in Brussels.

HR Operations:

  • Collaborate with external legal partners to ensure compliance across the US.

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for US employees, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

  • Manage employee benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, 401K, Guardian) in alignment with both requirements and AppTweak policies.

  • Prepare employment contracts, addendums, and other HR-related documents in compliance with local laws and company standards.

  • Serve as the primary contact for employees on people operations topics, offering guidance, advice, and solutions.

  • Oversee all onboarding and offboarding procedures for the US office.

  • Monitor new regulations for each state where we operate.

  • Ensure our ISO security policies are maintained and implemented in the US office.

Office Management:

  • Foster an optimal work environment for AppTweak’s US team by managing daily office operations, including supplier services, office organization, and furniture, and addressing employee needs.

  • Contribute to company culture by assisting in the organization of internal events, such as workshops, team-building activities, and company seminars.

Recruitment:

  • Work closely with the CRO to understand recruitment needs and develop customized sourcing strategies.

  • Recruit high-performing talents in the US, ensuring hires are made promptly and with a focus on quality.

  • Enhance the candidate experience throughout each stage by ensuring a transparent and fair recruitment process.

Job requirements

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or any other relevant field.

  • 1+ years of HR experience with a strong understanding of US employment regulations and labor law.

  • People-oriented: you enjoy working with others

  • High energy and a contagious enthusiasm that inspires those around them.

  • Autonomous, you have a proactive attitude and you like to make things happen.

  • Well-organized, detail-oriented with great analytical skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.

  • Not afraid to take initiative or wear multiple hats.

  • Strong active listening skills, and the ability to interact with a broad set of people in a tailored approach.

  • Reliable team member, with a strong ethic in regards to information confidentiality.

  • Interview with Laurie (CRO) to deep dive into your past experience and learn more about your aspirations (30 min)

  • A take-home test to evaluate your skills related to the position (1h)
